Dina came into my life eight years ago when the idea of owning my own pony or even keeping up with riding seemed impossible due to my financial circumstances.
A friend of mine invited me to hack out with her and asked a lady at her yard if she could borrow her cheeky brown welsh mare.
I instantly fell in love with this Dina! Luckily for me, her owner was looking for someone to help with exercising her, so at the age of 15, i began going up to the yard everyday after school.
Dins's extremely supportive owner helped me fulfil my dream of owning a pony and even took me to shows and cross country lessons.
Dina was a character but, despite her stubbornness, was a real once in a lifetime pony who stayed with me through my adolescence.
Unfortunately, we lost Dina in a freak field accident at the beginning of February, something we are all trying to come to terms with.
I wanted to make something special to remember Dina for both her owner and I. Giving her the Circle of Friendship Necklace was the most beautiful way I could have ever said the biggest of thanks yous.
I am in love with my bracelet and will continue to take dina with me wherever life takes me next.
