My parents bought Carla for me when I was about 10 years old and Carla was around 9. My dad wasn't that happy about us taking him all the way up to Wales to just go and see a pony. We fell in love with her straight away. She was the brought down to us a week later. From then Carla and I joined the Pony Club. We competed in many show jumping and cross country shows and many pony club camps. Everyone loved Carla in the Pony Club, she was always be known as the pony that would just jump over any fence that you point her at. During Pony Club Rallys, Carla and I would often be asked to lead other horses over fences because the instructors would know Carla would fly over them.
My friend Anna and I would also do cross country pairs. On a number of times we would get shouted at on the course to slow down. Carla would be galloping across the course with her head right down and me sitting back trying to slow her down. she was such a cheeky pony and she knew it.
She was very special to me, I have so many fun memories of her. Carla became quite ill all of a sudden and within a week unfortuantely she passed away in her field at 29 years old.
I was so sad and couldn't believe how quick she passed. she had been with me for 19 years! Still can't believe it.
Thank you Tail End Jewellery for making my bracelet, it is perfect!
