After years of riding my friends naughty ponies my parents finally gave into my nagging and bought me Merlin (left hand side) then 14, to learn how to ride properly. We had a great time competing until adult life took over (as it does!) and so he started working in the riding school where I learned to ride many moon ago. He loved his work, especially bucking people off after jumping! He retired to the field at the grand old age of 30 and taught over 100 people to ride, and also how to sit to a big buck!
Gee aka Minni Mr Bigglesworth (right hand side) belonged to a friend who had evented him at top level but at the age of 21 he needed a quieter life, so he came to live with me. I had groomed for him when he was flying round Hartpury 3* so to have him show me the ropes was a dream come true. We did everything from eventing to dressage to hunting, until he let me know he was ready to retire, so he joined Merlin in the field.
They had two great years together filling their faces with grass and then passed over the rainbow bridge together yesterday.
This bracelet means so much to me and I will treasure it for the rest of my life so thank you.
