I am thrilled with the quality of the bracelet which exceeded my expectations and couldn't be more perfect. It also arrived quickly which was just what I needed to help try and fill the massive hole in my life by having him close again.
I sadly lost Cornell to a rare medical condition on the 27th February after 9 years together.
We picked him up at Ascot Sales December 2008 as a project to sell on. He was really smart, chestnut, 4 white socks, a blaze and movement to die for. Plus, he was full of character! Every time I saw him he was playing his groom up and was rearing or bronching and generally full of beans - right up my street. We also brought another TB that day, Peter, who poked Cornell for the entire 4 hour journey home. He then spent the next 24 hours bucking in the stable! We let him down for 3 months before retraining him to be a ridden horse.
The following year I was given him as a christmas present!!! Beyond excited! The aim was to event him but as so often happens with horses it wasn't meant to be. Cornell was one of life's unlucky horses but that didn't matter to me. We had an amazing bond, he made me smile every single day even though he was immensly rude a lot of the time. Handsome and fully aware of it! He also had a real sense of humour - normally at my expense.
He doesn't have impressive competition results but he was my best friend. He always appeared whenever I was at home.
He was a lot of fun, he loved a hug and kiss (when no one was looking), he was also very smart under saddle but unfortunately soundness issues retired him early.
His loss is heartbreaking and he will not be forgotten, the bracelet containing his hair will help keep my memories strong.
